Justin Jefferson has a pending decision ahead of him.

Jefferson has an opportunity to return to Alabama next season after the NCAA granted a waiver, which allows college athletes, who previously played at junior colleges an opportunity to play another year.

Alabama’s defensive coordinator Kane Wommack previously expressed optimism about Jefferson returning to the Tide next season.

Kalen DeBoer shared Jefferson was excited about the opportunity on Monday.

“I’ll let him make the decision, not the decision, the announcements,” DeBoer said. “But I know he was
pretty excited to hear about the opportunity. So if that can
give you an indication of where his head is at, and we’ve
had the talks, and pretty confident that he’s excited to
continue to play college football. Nothing official has been said, but that was certainly a big announcement there right around Christmas. A good Christmas present for him and a good Christmas present for us for sure.”
