On Tuesday afternoon, the 2024 season officially came to a conclusion for the Alabama Crimson Tide in Tampa, Florida with a matchup against the Michigan Wolverines in the ReliaQuest Bowl.

In the game, Michigan would go on to win by a final score of 19-13, in part due to a slow start offensively from the Crimson Tide, with those same struggles continuing for a majority of the game. Yes, while there were some positives for Alabama, a majority of which came defensively, there was largely a game full of negatives for the Crimson Tide.

Here is the final Alabama stock report of the 2024 season, which will take a look at which players’ stocks are rising and falling as a result of their performance in the bowl game vs. Michigan.

Stock Up: Jihaad Campbell, Linebacker

Stats vs. Michigan: 11 tackles

In what could’ve been his final game at Alabama, linebacker Jihaad Campbell led the Crimson Tide with 11 tackles against Michigan, even despite exiting the contest in the third quarter due to injury. This was the fifth time this season that Campbell had double-digit tackles in a game.

Stock Down: Jalen Milroe, Quarterback

Stats vs. Michigan: 16-of-32 passing, 192 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, 16 rushes, 7 yards, 2 fumbles

This was likely one of the worst performances of the season from quarterback Jalen Milroe in what could’ve possibly been his final game at Alabama. In all, Milroe completed 16-of-32 passes for 192 yards with a touchdown and an interception, while also rushing for seven yards on 16 attempts with two costly fumbles in the first quarter, as well as being sacked five times.

Stock Up: Tim Smith, Defensive Line

Stats vs. Michigan: 7 tackles, 1 sack, 2 TFL

In what was his final game in an Alabama uniform, defensive lineman Tim Smith had likely his best performance of the season against Michigan, as well as one of the best of his Crimson Tide career overall. The senior ended the game with a final stat line of seven tackles, one sack, and two TFL, the first of which was a season-high.

Stock Down: Jam Miller, Running Back

Stats vs. Michigan: 10 rushes, 27 yards, 3 receptions, 36 yards

Alabama’s starting running back, Jam Miller did not have as much success running the ball against Michigan, with the Crimson Tide rushing for only a combined 68 yards altogether. Miller averaged a total of 2.7 yards per carry on his 10 rushes for 27 yards, while the running back hauled in a trio of receptions for 36 yards as well.

Stock Up: Graham Nicholson, Kicker

Stats vs. Michigan: 2/2 FG, 1/1 XP

In what was also his final game at Alabama, kicker Graham Nicholson was perfect Tuesday against the Wolverines. Nicholson made two field goals from 24 and 51 yards out, while also making his lone extra point attempt.

Stock Down: Ryan Williams, Wide Receiver

Stats vs. Michigan: 3 receptions, 8 yards, 2 punt returns, 38 yards

Lastly, star freshman Ryan Williams was largely kept quiet by the Michigan secondary, finishing the game with only three receptions for eight yards. Williams also had two punt returns for 38 yards, the latter of which was key in the fourth quarter returned for 38 yards.
