Coming off a career-year in 2024, Alabama Crimson Tide defensive lineman Jah-Marien Latham announced Wednesday that he will be returning in 2025 to utilize his final season of collegiate eligibility, bypassing the NFL draft.

Latham was the second Alabama player facing a draft decision to announce a return to Tuscaloosa on Wednesday, joined by wide receiver Germie Bernard.

A former four-star in-state prospect from Alabama’s 2020 class, Latham was a redshirt senior during the 2024 season, and as mentioned previously, had a career-year with the Crimson Tide. Across 13 games, Latham had a career-high 29 tackles, along with three TFL, one sack, and one fumble recovery.

Over his five-year Alabama career, Latham has a combined 42 tackles with five TFL, 2.5 sacks, one PD, and one fumble recovery.

Looking ahead, Latham now projects to play a similar role once again next season for an Alabama defensive front that will be experienced. As for his role, expect Latham to feature at “Bandit” once again along the likes of LT Overton, who is also returning.
