The 2025 NFL playoffs got underway last week with 33 former Alabama Crimson Tide football players vying for a chance to play in Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans on Feb. 9.
Heading into the divisional round of the playoffs, that number is down to 20. The Los Angeles Chargers lost, 32-12, to the Houston Texans in the Wild Card round last Saturday, which marked the end of the season for three former Alabama players: OL Bradley Bozeman, DT Justin Eboigbe and punter JK Scott.
The Pittsburgh Steelers, Denver Broncos, Green Bay Packers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Minnesota Vikings also lost. That ensured 10 other former Alabama players — including Minkah Fitzpatrick, Najee Harris, Pat Surtain II, Josh Jacobs and Xavier McKinney — won’t be playing in Super Bowl LIX.
But with the exception of the Los Angeles Rams, the Wild Card round winners all featured former Crimson Tide stars who’ll be in uniform this weekend for divisional round games.
The breakdown of former Alabama players still featured on active playoff teams: the Houston Texans and Philadelphia Eagles have five apiece; the Detroit Lions are second with four; the Washington Commanders have three, the Baltimore Ravens have two and the Buffalo Bills have one. Only the Rams and Kansas City Chiefs have no former Crimson Tide players on their active playoff rosters.
Here’s every former Alabama player who still has a chance to reach the Super Bowl entering the divisional round of the NFL playoffs.
