In 2025, nine former Alabama players will play against their former team after transferring to a school on the Tide’s schedule.
Here is a look at them all:
Defensive back Earl Little Jr. (FSU)
Little was a top-100 recruit in the 2022 class and committed to Alabama. He played a total of 11 games throughout his two seasons at Alabama. The defensive back’s final season with the Crimson Tide in 2023 was cut short because of a torn labrum.
Like most of the players on this list, Little entered the transfer portal after Nick Saban’s retirement, and the Fort Lauderdale, Florida, native transferred to Florida State.
When asked at ACC Media Days if facing his former team in 2025 will give him extra juice, here’s what Little Jr. said.
“I don’t find it as anything extra,” Little said. “But it’s definitely gonna be fun for the guys. I’m excited for a new challenge.”
Running back Wide Roydell Williams (FSU)
Williams has the best chance to be at the top of the Seminoles’ depth chart at the running back position. Before transferring to Florida State last offseason, the Hueytown native spent four seasons at Alabama.
In his final season with the Tide in 2023, Williams found his way into the rotation and ran for 560 yards and five touchdowns on 111 carries.
The injury bug bit Williams last season as he only played in four games due to an injury that later required surgery.
Linebacker Keanu Koht (Vanderbilt)
Koht is a 6-foot-4, 235-pound EDGE who played two seasons at Alabama. The Crimson Tide has solid depth on the edge, and Koht did not get too many snaps as he only played in four games for Alabama in 2024. Koht transferred to Vanderbilt this offseason.
Tight end Miles Kitselman (Tennessee)
Kitselman only played in one game for Alabama, which was against Utah State in 2022. He did not play in 2023, but his production increased when he joined the Tennessee Volunteers.
In 2024, Kitselman hauled in 22 passes for 301 yards and four touchdowns. The 6-foot-5 tight end will have a chance to make a significant impact on The Third Saturday in October.
Wide receiver Aaron Anderson (LSU)
Anderson never got to play for Alabama, but he had an admirable 2024 campaign with the Tigers, racking up 61 catches for 884 yards and five touchdowns.
In 2025, he has the chance to have the biggest impact out of any former Alabama player that the Crimson Tide will play in 2024.
Defensive lineman Monkell Goodwine and linebacker Shawn Murphy (South Carolina)
Goodwine and Murphy did not see much playing time at Alabama, but they both had solid 2024 seasons. Goodwine played in every game last season, finishing with 15 total tackles. Murphy did not get on the field until November, but he made the most of his time by getting 13 total tackles and a fumble recovery in four games.
Linebacker Justin Okoronkwo (South Carolina)
Okoronkwo did not spend much time on the field in 2024 due to Alabama’s stacked linebacker room. The Munich, Germany, native transferred to South Carolina in the offseason.
Safety Jahquez Robinson (Auburn)
After the 2022 season, Robinson transferred from Alabama to Colorado and played one year before entering the portal a second time to go to Auburn. He only played in two games for the Tigers last season.
