FAIRHOPE – Daphne High School will be facing Fairhope High School Friday night, October 13, in the  10th annual Spina Bifida Awareness football game at Fairhope’s W.C. Majors Stadium at Volanta Park.

Spina Bifida is the most permanently disabling birth defect in the world. There are many families in the state of Alabama who are affected by Spina Bifida. This game raises awareness and community support for kids with Spina Bifida while also raising money for Children’s Hospital of Alabama.
Children’s Hospital of Alabama has one of the leading Spina Bifida clinics in the nation. All proceeds raised will be donated to the hospital to support Alabama families with medical needs. This year, more than 30 sponsors are on board and are having a raffle with six big ticket items that will be called out during the Pirates and Trojans Class 7A, Region battle.
Supporters can also help raise funds and awareness by participating in the online silent auction which has 38 different items available for bidding. To participate in the silent auction, just text SBA to 71760. You do not have to be present to win.
